The Oshkosh Northwestern featured two articles about the event from previous years. They also include photos. Please check them out if you have a chance!

C.A.R.E Days creates a fun, physically active and inclusive environment for children in grades K-12 in the Oshkosh Area School District. The track meet and carnival fosters inclusivity and creates an environment where children of all ages and abilities can celebrate themselves and each other. Communities students partnered with Oshkosh West for the event, and we advanced our 21st century skills through practice in marketing the event on social media, as well as negotiating with partners such as Verve and Oshkosh West, and appearing on television and radio to promote the event.

"Schools do a great job of including all students in the early grades, but the gap between children widens as they develop. We want to recognize the sames, the abilities that everbody has. Everyone has their own unique ability, and so we want to make sure that opportunity is provided in this fun environment." - Oshkosh West Physical Education Teacher and CARE Days organizer, Gillian Pakula
