The Project

Our project partner is Kiwanian Jon Rucinsky who is a part of the 3rd annual Amazing Oshkosh Race being held on May 4th this year. Mr. Rucinsky has been a part of Kiwanis for 10 years and stood as president of the Oshkosh branch. Kiwanis is a global organization that is primarily focused on making life better for each and every single child in need.

Here in Oshkosh, we have our own club known as Mid-Morning Kiwanis. This club, through programs such as “iPads For Autism” and “Project Undercover” has donated over $100,000 dollars to benefit children and young adults

The Third Annual Amazing Oshkosh: A Kiwanis Quest is a city-wide challenge race inspired by the CBS show "The Amazing Race." 50 teams of 4 will be challenged at a variety of quest stops/challenges located throughout the amazing city of Oshkosh. As the teams spread out over the city they will encounter a wide variety of tasks that are physical, mental, team building, and some just silly.

The funds raised by this event will be used to fund Mid-Morning Kiwanis programs. To-date, the club has contributed over $100,000 to programs such as Education Grants to all Oshkosh area schools, iPads for Autism, college scholarships, childhood literacy programs, and others benefiting children right here in Oshkosh and the surrounding area.

More Information

“Wisconsin students attend schools that invest less resources per student than they did a decade ago.” This is a direct quote from the Wisconsin Budget Project (www.wisconsinbudgetproject.com). In the past ten years, Oshkosh Mid-Morning Kiwanis has granted over $77,000 to local teachers to help expand their classrooms learning.

To make these grants possible, Kiwanis heavily relies on participation and fundraising from various community events like Amazing Oshkosh.
